Removing waste and excess stock
A large food retailer came to us experiencing high stock levels, uncontrolled waste and poor on-shelf availability. We worked closely with their team to analyse their business processes and how their diverse functions interacted.

We then realigned process ownership, built management capability through formal training and informal coaching and improved reporting and issue resolution. As a result, waste was reduced by £16m, stock holding by £32m and availability moved from 92 to 96%, directly improving customer service and driving sales growth.
