Time critical delivery
Our client had the unenviable task of delivering a major construction project within an uninterruptible operational environment. They knew that a lack of integration and poor co-ordination had left the project 8 weeks behind schedule and the overall programme 3 months behind its delivery schedule.
We coached the project teams in our improvement methodologies and worked together to make a number of key operational changes:
- Production targets were set for all of the critical path packages
- A real-time delay data recording system was introduced, creating a culture of instant feedback and remedy and helping to actively reduce production delays
- New shift planning processes were introduced
